no piccie updates cos I lost my phone last week Mr H was over today so he may put some pics up later, basically engines now all ready to go back in, repainted, belted, new stem seals, new clutch, new coreplugs and fully buftied
I have now G3'd all the engine bay and fitted new loom rubbers, so today I have got all the loom back in place after taking it all apart and fitting a new lumentition onto it and rewrapping and cleaning it all up, the paint has now dried enough to put all the servo back together so Mr H bolted it all in, then he made me up some new shiny fuel lines and they are now all in, and loads of other little bits have been done, coil, horn, fan etc etc
Gary took away all my front suspension and buftied it for me
that is now sitting waiting to go in as well
tomorow after work plan is to stick the engine on the box on the X member and put the whole lot in at once
Does it involve rear seat belts and side intrustion protection bars ?
Seat belts yes, intrusion bars no, the intrusion bars are only needed on cars built after 1977 iirc.
What it really needs is a bit of a strip and refit, everything has started leaking since it has stood for a long time, even the seals on the rear Bilsteins
Will be getting done soon though, got lots of nice bits to put on it, I just need to get a round tuit

Once it's done you need to use it more to stop it going down hill again
This afternoon saw a four hander; myself, Glyn, Gary, and Glyns mate Richard from work (who used to be a work colleague of mine from years ago) cracking on with the refit, we needed 4 on it as the whole front end (built up) went in from underneath.
Engine and box onto the x-member (which had the struts/TCA's and ARB on it) and then we lowered the car onto it, finally craning the whole lot up to meet the car.
Went extremely easily, with no scratches to the fresh paint, even the column popped into the steering coupling without a drama.
Glyn took piccies, I'm sure he's still in his garage at the moment
