Been there, done it etc. 14 years on in a much better place re-married with 2 great kids, life does move on and usually its a lot better, gutted i had to sell my rallycar but hey ho
As you can see, your not alone. Also been there and done that. Drew the line when I had sold everything I had to pay off the debts she brought with her and forgot to mention. The only thing I had left was my Cooper S and that had been around far longer and gave me more pleasure (not like that gents)
I kept that, my sanity (well some of it) and my dignaty (spelling went out of the window though!!)
The suns always out, its just sometime's covered by a layer of cloud.
Now, 7 years on and 1 fantastic wife and step and 3 year old daughter. things are good. It seems hard to see clear when your in that dark place, but I look back now which much more insight.
I divorced 14 years ago. When they could both kids walked out on their mum and came to live with me. that probably hurt her more than anything else. She still doesn't speak to me even if I try to speak to her - I've given up on that idea!
I've now got 2 super grandchildren, a good relationship in my life and that life is far better than it ever was before. Only downside is that it cost me a heck of a lot to buy her off. The financial upside is I've still got my Escort and she never got a penny of my redundancy monies (2 redundancies since the divorce) nor any ongoing benefit from my pensions or my rather better benefits that I have now.
The only winners in adivorce are the legal boys! a small price to pay if your not happy been there got the t shirt! you can get on with your life now and enjoy it best of luck!
