    The law sounds grossly unfair to me....however do you recover yourself from one mistake like that?

      sadly alot dont recover and end up topping them selves...

        Its hard.. You work all week and weekends ect... to have nice things, then this happens and you have to start from scratch..but the women, normaly is sitting in a nice house ect...lost 25k just in my pension...and to top it, got make reduntant and the 10k pay out i got in the joint account...you got it......it was GONE... Then about 18 months later became very ill and cant work full time.. so its been a hard slog,, But life goes on No more joint banks..

                            What so your telling me if you live with someone for longer than 6 months they have then got the right to 50/50 no matter who paid for what & who put most of the money in I thought it was longer than that by god im fekd Oh & keep the chin up dermot you will smile again ........

                                It was adjourned to next May. Too many cases listed to be heard. Next May's list is full so it could be Nov. 2010 before it's heard.
