Mk1 fiesta

For those who don't know, me and my dad bought a mk1 fiesta at the weekend and the past two days we started to take out the interior as it needs repainting and to look at the floors etc. There is more work to do than we intended on doing but we have 2 or 3 years to finish it. So this is it when we got it home





The paint job is like this all over as the car wasn't prepared correctly, it could have been done better with a sweeping brush




This is how much we have stripped off it already





There are a few holes in the drivers foot well too





We also need a pair of front wings, a front panel and rear arches

Small update on the fiesta, not had much decent weather to get any work done as its outside so at the weekend we moved my dads mk1 escort out of the garage and so it was a bit warmer and we did a bit of poking around the sills and there not too bad, we cut the drivers wing off and took out the inner wing panel too.









The wing is not fitted yet its just slotted in

What a refreshing change to see a Fiesta being dealt with for tin worm! It's interesting to see where these rot in comparison to an Escort. Good luck with the resto.

It's coming on slow.. inner and outer A post are now on inner and outer sills on and splash shield done.. making a start on inner wing next.
