Looking good so far Alan. Dont worry about eveyone going on about the hammerite as it looks like this car is going to be used and not just bought out for shows and stuff like the rest of the escort tarts lolol.

The front arch and spolier combo looks like it is too far foward/high...

A bit of a hammer should put it rite.

All joking aside, it looks a bit odd Alan.

Sorry Alan but I have to agree, the spoiler is too high and the front arches need to be about 1" below the swage line, the rear arches look as they were made to be below the swage line as the type that fit above are shaped to follow the swage contour.

I have never seen a MK2 Escort with arches fitted this way so at least it is unique..!! but as long as you like it and are happy then it's fine. looks like they have been fitted to blend and not rivet...!!

At this stage it is an easy fix to change them but will be different when you have paid to get it painted.

It's just my opinion not criticism..!!!

I can take onboard all the constructive comments but work was done by a guy who has done lots of arches

Forest arches do fit below the swage line but tarmac arches lip over the swage line

Front spoiler cant really comment on as I have gone with the guys experience

Any how right or wrong its done now and will be a major task to start and weld metal back in to lower them

They will be removed ,, sealed and bonded and re riveted

Once painted it will look ok

here is a picture of my spoiler Alan.

you can easily adjust your one to look similar if you wish by lifting the sides up and re-riveting the spoiler back in place.

I fitted mine too high and the spoiler was pointing upwards when looked from the side, this was pointed out by others so I bought a new spoiler , welded the holes and fitted it lower. I might regret it as my car will be hurtling through the forests and so the higher the better. To be honest the spoiler might be alright but the front arches are too high, should be approx 1" below the swage line, but don't worry , if your happy with the look that's all that matters.
