every day's a day closer Kev......might be parked up next to yours at the Nec?????...............at Classic Motor Show 2020

Estate's gone........ sold shell (with id) and wings to a local fella who's doing it up using bits from his knackered mk2 estate.

Sold interior to a lad who trailed up from LondonEngland for it......it was the lad who has that orange 2 door mk2 that advertises Meguires car cleaning products in Classic Ford mag.

AY, Sand blasted underside, inner wings, in all arches, lot of the inside...footwells, boot etc. didn't do rear flanks cos didn't want it to ripple and they looked pretty solid.

no buddy, a mate of a mate has a business doing it, he did it for me.

Did a decent job, but my mate told me not to get flanks done cos when he's had cars done there in the past it's been to abbrasive and rippled the metalwork.

soon in man hours.............what that equates to in real time?????......

mate told me he was having a full week on it this week........then his missis rang me this morning to tell me that they'd been evicted from their house because of a gas leak on their property.........seen has his workshops in the back garden that means no work will be done today no doubt........

Just been looking at Harrier Tony's thread, his car was way worse than mine was when he started......should have got in with him 3 1/2 years back......I'd have been driving it round the last 18 months!!

Lol, mine is waiting for me to get my arse in gear and shift all the bricks out of where it will be living. Once the bricks are gone, the car is going in and getting stripped and up on the spit once im happy the n/s floor/chassis are nice and strong again first. Then it will be getting the attention its presently waiting for.
Yours is coming on nicely, looking at your car compared to mine, i think they have both suffered a similar level of rot attack, but you have got more done on yours

If you want it, get it, before someone else beats you to it.

So basically we all need to get our arses in gear over the next few months so we've got useable cars for the spring then lol

blinking cold int garage in the winter tho!!

wish mine was just bricks............I've got a full mk3 xr2 that no bugger wants, that I need to break to get my money back on before I can fit my car back in there...........Only downside is it's currently storing all my MK2's interior in it and is surrounded by a load more escort bits I need to sort out, clean up to stick on the mk2, or decide whether I can afford to let them go to fund getting it finished.

What I need is some eccentric old for nut with more money than sense to come and take the lot off my hands.....that said I don't even know what 'the lot' is? I don't want to let stuff go if I might need it but I'm fast running out of room.

Think organisation is the keyword here......and I have none of it!

Harrier Tony, your car looked a lot more complete than mine as a starter, vultures had well and truly picked mine to pieces by the time I got my hands on it.

Even if the vultures had picked at it its making a decent car and i bet it was nice and cheap.
