I do like the steering wheel Stu! Engine and headlining looks good too, have you tried to get the ripples out by carefully warming them up with a hair dryer? This is how we did it years ago!

Yes got most of the ripples out with a hairdryer, just one or two that wouldn't go but hardly noticeable so I will live with them.

I noted you have no door lock on the passengers side, guess you're keeping it that way ?

It never had a passenger side door lock on it when I got it for some reason, so I never bothered to drill a new hole in the new doorskin when I fitted it as I didn't have a spare door lock.

Hi where did you get your door drop glass from? Is it a good fit in the inner channel seal or will it rattle about when wound down a couple of inches? How much were they to buy as mine are scratched but also have weld/grinding slatter all over them so I will need to replace mine as well.
Cracking project by the way loving all the pictures & detail you are going to will be great to see it in the flesh once finished.

I found them very good, the glass fits nicely in the channel seal with no rattling. They do mail order as well. You will have to remove the original metal guide bracket & rubber from your old glass & fit them to the new glass. The only downside obviously is they don't have the original Triplex etching on them.

Hi all, bit of an update, I've built up most of the engine now..




De-greased the gearbox, need to do the seals on this & paint it up, just hope the bearings & synchromesh are ok...

Also now the headlining is in I wanted to get the rest of the glass in as soon as possible..

also put some pressed numberplates on
