          • Mmmmm, it says 1300GT on the rocker cover.....well I don't think so!

Progress is looking good Stu, and that underneath is so clean! This car will be well worth the time it's taken to do it! Thanks for the update.

            Cheers, Tim

                  • Hi all, bit more progress made on the Sport, servo now in, NOS dizzy, oil pump, brand new carb alternator etc on..

I don't know if anyone can help but neet to know where the wires for the rev counter go, theres 4 wires coming out of it, black, brown, green & grey. I cant find a wiring diagram for a Sport with the separate rev counter

Also need help with the wiper switch wiring as seen on my thread here

                        Thankyou!
Its been a bit slow going lately what with trying to get hold of bits & pieces that were missing, the front seats have gone off to the trimmers to be stripped down, will then get the frames sandblasted so I can respray them before they can be redone, may have to get the rear seat bases done as well as they probably wont match if the vinyl has faded too much

Still got some wiring issues to sort out as well....

                        cheers, Stu.

Just a guess Stu, I can't see the loom being much different from a normal GT or XL loom which also have rev counters fitted albeit in the dash. I would hazard a guess that Ford used the same loom but made a quick fix on the new Sport of that time, possibly just extending the wires to the pod with a short piece of loom! As for the wipers, any standard Escort later Mk1 loom should tell you how it is wired!

                            Your car looks so minty!
