Got a bit more done, I bought some half floors from ex-pressed panels a while ago but since then the new one piece floors have come out & since the floors & inner sills on the sport are a mess I took the plunge & bought one of those instead
Heres some scary pics of it now I've cut the floor out
Fortunately the cage is doing its job keeping everything in place, nothing has moved or twisted which is a relief!!
cover sills have been welded over the originals in the past, full of rust, I've left these in place for now to line up the new floor with.
Floors needed to come out, rotten inner sills have been plated over.
Great work done a good job on tub I've just done same thing on my rs2
Expensive but good fit also it was a job I wasn't looking forward to do but wasn't to bad

I've been cleaning up the edges, put holes in & trial fitted/clamped the new floor in place, also a trial fit of the chassis rails to make sure everything is in the right place. Good news is its a perfect fit, very pleased with the quality of these panels, next job is to make a start welding it in!
Nice start you have made there mate, deffo looks a spot on fit. I do like the look of that one piece floor, I may have to invest in one of those on my next project. Keep the pics coming
nice update on work there.
ur better to go all the way
and not need to look back in years to come.
