Managed to nearly finish fitting the bootfloor last night while I was waiting for the plumber to turn up.
Then totally finished it this afternoon after work. Needs to dolly a bit of damage up on the rear panel before fitting but seems to fit ok so hopefully il have it done and fitted over the weekend.

Managed to get the rear panel all fitted up today, it took a lot of messing about to get it to fit nice, probably more the back end of my car to fault than the rear panel lol. It's self tapered into position for now, didn't have enough time to weld it today but it all ready to go as soon as I get chance. Trial fitted bootlid, borrowed a good boot seal to do this and also trial fitted the lights to make sure it was all ok.
Strangely I had to file about 3mm out of the boot latch that bolts to the rear panel to get the bootlid sitting right not sure why I had to do this but all the other gaps are really nice so I'm just putting it down to poor tolerances between parts from different cars.
Also got my friend in the garage at the moment working on this car
Mk2 sat on top of a 2.9 v6 sierra 4x4 floor pan, he's had to remove the cage and adjust some areas as it wasn't quite sat right on the floor pan, one side A pillar was about 5mm to high. Not sure how far the owner wants to go with this one but for now it's aimed to be an abused track toy.

Been busy working 7 day weeks at the minute but have managed to squeeze in a few hours on the car this week. Got the rear end all finished off then started to fill the boot floor on top of the rear legs where the welds have been.
Then got the car back on the spit to finish the last couple of bits of welding, only minor stuff left to do like finish welding gearbox mounts etc.
Pic of bootfloor from the bottom side, need to get a better pic of this
And removed the old sealer off the inside of the rear tubs
They are in tip top shape which was nice to find good metal rather than rust for a change! Thats it ready for blasting now so fingers crossed the weather is ok to transport the shell it will be getting done next weekend then we can get started on the filler work which is going to be a task!

Finished of a few little bits tonight and that's the bare shell totally finished at last!!
Just the heater bubble to re-fit now and finish the doors off and hopefully the welder etc can get put away for a while
