Had a busy few days doing some diy for the missus
However got back to the car today. Got the block and cylinder head painted, got the engine mounts and alternator bracket back on. Got the carbs and inlet manifold back on, got the master cylinder removed for refurbing, got the repainted radiator back in.

                Must get better wing protectors

Cheers, I maybe could`ve done the carbs a wee bit better but don`t have the knowledge or the bottle to strip them !

Well done Dave, its coming on a treat!
Its very rewarding seeing the improvements isnt it

I got a thin wire brush to do carb body its 10mm wide goes to a point on shaft about 300mm long handy for getting into small tight areas to clean.
Think got it from RS (Radio Shack) catalogue but other outlets probably also sell same.

Looking forward to seing it next season mate

had another good day on the car today Got the exhaust manifold fitted, alternator back on , heater hoses and washer bottle and tubing on too. Only laid the plug leads in place as i broke a spark plug . Was going to change them anyway. So just leaves the servo pipe , new throttle linkage and breather tank to fit and thats the engine bay more or less done. Oh and the battery of course

Then it`ll be time to start in here again !
