got a few more bits done today, billies finally built up with new rubber roller tops, had a pain sourcing reducing collars then decided to have those re-machined to suit what i wanted to do, i also painted the tops of the mounts, although they are stainless steel i didnt want that showing through strut top so a few coats of satin went on those. hubs back on and calipers refitted, gonna change the way the brake pipes are plumbed in, as currently its a single braided pipe from inner wing to caliper, i wanna go flexi from inner wing to strut then copper to caliper per std cars.
tca's back onto the x-member
oil cooler was cleaned and repainted, just remounted it onto powder coated bracket, i know ive used stainless allen bolts to mount it, but it aint no bufty, just want longevity from it
just steering rack to refit once ive got me some taps to clear out powder coat then i think suspension is done, wiring loom next
There was nothing wrong with that car I loved it, kinda wish I'd kept it sometimes. The lad I sold it to had the engine rebuilt and it's got 40 more horsepower now !! The bottom was a bit tired lol
