          Just keep on nibbling away at the rust and soon there will be none left!

          I really admire people that take on this sort of restoration and wish that I was doing my bit to bring a very sad RS back to it's former glory. Working hard like this on a car will guarantee a lot of satisfaction and respect when the job is finished.

          Looking forward to the next installment of pics.

              good effort there, hats off to you for getting stuck in on it and saving it, felt sure when it was for sale only the VIN tags would live on

                well done mate i never thought it would live again mind and remove the spare wheel strap bracket in the well and put your old one back on to the boot floor

                  thanks for all the post on hear a have saved all the rs components for this car as rs spec has when they came from the the factory so they will all be spot welded back on.
                  this is the biggest resto project a have done will will save this car as a love working on them have done for over 20years now .if only wee could keep all our escorts that wee all had a scrapped 6 mk2 2door escorts when a was 18 and a tell ye a could kick myself for not holding on to them but as wee all no they were 10 a penny years ago .......

                  will keep u all updated on the rebuild on this car ......

                    some rust here .



                    this pile is getting bigger but the only wae to do the job right .



                    well thats the work stopped for a week as a have other worh to do .but will get back into at the weekend .

                            Excellent progress Dave!!

                            Like the idea of the "Scrap pile" with rotten bits removed from the car

                            When mine was done we had a pile that I called "The Johnston scrap pile" was tempted to send it back to him.

                            Looking forward to seeing the project
