Certainly cracking on there Dav - nice one. Hope you enjoyed your holiday. Incidently, how is the middle part of the A post sandwich held in place? Is it welded? Mine has more rust than yours and I'm wondering what the hell to do with it.

                      hi

hey m8 the hoilday was grand nice at warm LOL but came back to being paid off from a driveing job a had but **** it .......
ye the A post is welded in but u have to spot welded it on ETc.
.first if ur inside A post is ok and if its atached below front A post take it right out .get ur new outer A post skin put it on top of it after u drill new spot weld hole s and make sure u have the square hole line up if u no what a mean where ur door bolts on .

fit u A POST SECTION AS U SEE HOW A HAVE DONE U WILL SE UR INNER A POST STICKS OUT a bit SLIP IT UP BELOW A POST ON UR car BUT MAKE SURE U AT LEAST DRILL ONE OR 2 holes SO IT GETS WELD BACK TO UR SHELL hope this helps u m8 .....

any updates on ur car then ??????

Thanks very much Dav. I follow what you're saying. As for mine, I'll be scraping the underseal for a few months yet. Taking ages with just a screwdriver but I'm very impressed with what I'm uncovering. I'll try and remember to take some pics when I'm in there tomorrow. Saving some cash for a welder in the meantime.

                          hi

the the underseal is a bitch m8 but mines was mostly sandplasted before a got it.
hey use a grinder with a metal bush end like a grindeing dics quite cheap
if u go to the right places etc.save alot of time but a bit sore on the grinder tends to warm up a bit .have went thu 2 grinders in my rs build lol lol .
                          best of luck m8 ....

maybe see ur progress soon ......
stick in dont give up ........
a did a ten year project once but worth it in the end.......
