I collected the car from the paint shop at 6pm. I didn't think it would be ready by now but my man worked very hard to get it finished.
With the kind permission of Oggie, I will now be able to bring it to the Lakes, not for the tour as such, but to join the Sunday display
The manifold powder-coating was smoking a month ago when I drove the short distance to the paint shop, but today it wasn't too bad but it has scorched a little but I don't think I will have time to change that and spray it.
It drove lovely today, first time since the engine went back in
It now leaves me tomorrow to polish it up, fit side decals, put mudflaps on, change bulkhead pad, fit front 175/70's and other bits and bobs.
Some pics of it develping in the past month up till today...
As it stands now...... busy day ahead tomorrow buftying
Looking great Al
Not being critical, but is the back broadstripe squwiff going to the bumper?
Tell me to mind my own business if they are meant to be like that
