  • not yet mate timing was a little pete tong so striped it down cam wise to make sure it is all perfect just got to set up the follower clearences for the BF63 cam and then time it up then lengthen the heavy duty starter motor cable then figure out which wire to bin on the starter as it only has one low tension connection.

then if all goes to plan i will be able to fire her up and get her to combe as I know peeps like you will be there so I can show you all hopefully

    • Well today is the best day in my life since the kids were born after 8 years of being layed up and after a number of trials and tribulations the engine has burst into Life.

I would like to say a big thank you to Gizmo, RS2000 CUstom, Mr,Escort Taffr and TIm for all the advice and assistance to get me this far now I can get on and get her finished.

Once again a big thanks to all the peeps above

        • Well this weekend the car has moved under its own power which has been video'd by Gizmo and I am sure it will appear on here at some time or other.
The car was driven round the block and the fan was not wired up correctly so had to twiddle to get that working and bingo it kicked in so all is happy on that front geesss consiering the motor aint set up and just begun running in the power is unreal tbh really sensitive to the throttle and very responsive especially when it comes on cam!! WOW!!!
Well also sorted most of the wiring and I need some new bits to finish which are as follows:
A new Temp sensor no surprise after 8 years sitting on the shelf
          New wiper blades
          CD Head Unit MP3 compatible
Pair of 6 x 9's for rear quarters
          Dynomatt for rear quarter panels
and some other bits and bobs
Also fitted the firewall needed a little trim but it is in and riveted in place and also fitted the rear seat back which can be a little fiddly.
Next jobs to finalise the car will be as follows:
          Wire up fuel guage
          refit seat base
install rear Carbon door cards and fit rear 6 x 9 speakers
fit drivers door carbon door card
          install passenger seat
          refit bonnet
          refit strutt brace
          refit glovebox
Get her set up and tuned for running in spec for 1000 miles
          then full dyno set up
job done completed here are some pics just to tide you over until the next installment and hopefully the last the car if all goes to plan will be at the Northants Regional Day hopefully done and dusted

                            • Is that a challenge Tim ( I ****in hope not!!!) as that is defo pushing it IMHO as I need it properly set up before driving it properly on the road and I do not know anywhere around here to get her set up and Northampton motorsport are good but take forever to do anything tbh
