    • Glass polish

      Hi Glynn,

What was the name of the glass polish that you used. It did a fantastic job on your windows. Beautifull rebuild.

                • cheers for the interst everyone, I took a break for a last big push on the house and I've finally finished it

and as the garage is just pushing into the plus figures again I'm back on it

the brake lines are Trevors ones (stage1motorsport) and are very good and in the original material, the glass polish was just one I got off ebay here

                  done the job though

I got started by taking my centre console apart to repaint it,

surface preparation before paint is paramount and I'm very lucky as in my house I have a special parts washer thats ideal for these sort of jobs, though I do tend to use it only when the supervisor of the area is out due to a previous dispute over access

I have now painted in Vinylkote 40 but forgot to get a pic

next steps was pack a another party pack off to the platers - returned

then I started on my suspension, front legs (genuine grp 1 struts) cut and converted to coil overs prepared for paint

rear shocks, new but looking tired so took a meausrement then rubbed them down

all painted in 2k in the SX to$$ers gazebo/paint booth

rears done witn new decals (cheers Jamie)

done the frt grill as well

next big thing I need is an engine ! I done the cyl head about 15 years ago but decided to leave the engine in 1 chunk rather then rebuild it and have it sitting for god knows how long

                  as removed

I have never paid much attention to it till this weekend but while stripping it noticed it was the original one for the car

stripped with some other bits n bobs ready to take to the machine shop

and today I fitted my halfshafts with new bearings and built up the back brakes (cheers Neil for the shoes )

bufty shame to cover em up lol

I'm enjoying getting back on it hopefully get the engine bits into the MC shop this week
                  Cheers Glyn
