Time for an update, must of been a while as its slipped to page 3 !!

don't get much time to work on the RS, but here's the latest pics..


Engine bay stripped of paint


Old holes from when it was LHD



Battery tray used to be here (LHD)



Almost all the paint removed



N/S outer front wing patch of rust to be removed



O/S RS Strut top about to be removed, rust underneath



...and there's the rust !



N/S outer inner wing 2nd skin going on



N/S RS strut top being removed, large stryt tops will be going on instead.

actually, while its in the state its in, id do three things to it

1. gusset the front
2. panhard rod
3. turret the rear

done, never have to worry about it in the future ....... what say you richyc ?

Already got panhard rodney fitted... :-)
can't be arsed to turret it...

not necessary for a road car grum was thinking of not fitting the arches back on,as they are not needed, then we could fit smaller wheels.thus keeping the tyre budget down.

Me on the lappy here... update on the RS.. well I hoovered the garage out on Sunday, and put the car on a dolly....... thats it.... too much going on with the shop at the mo...

and yes I am on call this week, I sort of missed a week somewhere, I was thinking I had another week in between on call and Nat Day.

Anyway drinking on sat and sun night @ Donny to make up for it...

A quick update, richie has done a bit more welding to the engine bay, one more patch to do, then its on to the strut tops and drip rails.. woo hoo then the front panel and wings can go on, and it will start to look like a car again..

Small patch on NS inner wing cut out



ops turn your head, and new metal welded in.




N/S outer front wing, second skin welded and ground down now


N/S front chassis end, new plate made up


...and welded in



another similar hole on the O/S inner wing...


Next installment after the wedding and holiday....
