Time for an update, as its slipped quite a few pages, and I noticed I have not updated it on here since May 2009 !!
A quick update... had a couple of 1/2 days on the car a few months back, Underneath is now almost finished with antichip now on, just needs a top coat of paint to finish.
N/S front wing in etch primer.
N/S front wing rear off with antichip protection (this will be cut for the X-pack arches anyway)
And at last the rear O/S rear X-pack arch is finally in place, I have already started to blend it in during the evenings but no pics yet.
More coming soon, I might even get the front panel on and a front wing .... woo hooo
Got some more done on the car in November 2009
Managed to completely spray the underneath in gloss black so that almost finished apart from N/S sill which I couldn't get to.
Both front inner wings were sprayed too, and then I prepped ready for the front panel (sprayed area behind), and then welded front panel in place.
Pics;
O/S inner wing in paint.
N/S inner wing in paint.
Underneath in paint
O/S rear inner arch all fibreglassed up
O/S rear X-pack in fibre glassed in place
Front panel being lined up
Front panel welded in
Have alread put the first & second skim layer of filler on the O/S rear arch, and the N/S rear arch has now been fibreglassed in underneath.
Slowly coming together
Thanks for the comments guy's. more progress, coming slowly as been busy, not touched it for a few months, but here's the latest..
Can almost see the end of the welding at last..... Thanks to Richie for all of that.
Some recent pics from the resto including O/S/R X-pack and O/S drip rail.
Rear O/S/R X-pack arch being blended in.
O/S drip rail rust being removed.
O/S front wing paint being removed with strip disc on the grinder

Drip rail being cleaned ready for new one.

And from another angle

Needs welds grinding down, some seam sealer, then ready for the big wing/bonnet/nosecone fitting... woo hoo
Big thanks to Richie as ever...
