i have seen quite a few with the chassis number tag in the boot,it's always a good double check to identify a shell,as most don't know it's there.not sure if all mk2s had it?

Ive seen some with chassis tags there, also next to our usual tag a similar tag is also placed next to it, mainly on other european cars, thats why i presume the two holes are in the slam panel, for this tag. Maybe Leon my be able to confirm this.

Yes the kit is a right pain to get off, having said that once you find the rivets, and the line where the kit ends its just a case of removing the filler and wacking a big gert chisel down to persuade the kit to come off hey Grum ?

More pics uploaded... O/S front wing is now off, got 2 wings on there way (Thanks Steve). Hopefully this weekend I can start on the engine bay, Richie just been over and attacked the car with a chisel.. a few minor parts but nout bad.

Gonna start the welding on sunday hopefully :-)

just ordered front panel, sill and transit battery tray, winge will be here next week hopefully, and Richie will be back on Sunday to start.
