My First Restoration!

Got that gearbox tunnel in place but there is alot of chopping to do to get it in properly. I'm worried about it being too wide, its so wide that its touching a pre drilled hole in the bulkhead. I was wondering what it was for and what does everyone else do if this happens all the time?

The hole is for your steering column !

Small hole with captive bolt underneath large hole is for column mounting bracket

Spent today working on the Escort...got that gearbox tunnel tacked in place and the 4 link box tack in place for the second time...take a look at the pics

Got some more done on the escort, haven't really got that much done but here are some pics. I need to get that door to fit propery before I can mount the wings and was wondering what it could be....are hinge pins available for the doors as there is quite alot of play in them. It could be that the shell has bent but I had a load of bracing in it and have taken some measurements and it doesn't seem out..
