    About to order some spot lamps. 2 spots 2 driving lamps, i have noticed that most peeps run supers (9") on the top and std Oscars (7") on the bottom. is this for a reson, or just personnal taste?

        How much are the brakets?
        Rally Design stuff is renound for being shit, but some of their stuff is ok.

          High quality alloy quick release lamp brackets for the MK2 Escort. Designed to mount the classic 2up2down Cibie lamps. (will mount two Cibie Super Oscar Drive Lamps on top and two Cibie Oscar Fog Lamps on the bottom). Sold as a pair.

                hehe your not the only one. got a pair of these, 2 Super Oscar Driving lamps, 2 Super oscar spot lamps and 4 130W builbs on the way :compress:

                  Run 4 super oscars on mine. Also use a quick release bracket from Prepfab. Expensive at about £70 but superb quality. Make sure you use some steady's as well as they do bounce about a bit.

                    for steadys use a hose clip cut and half then u can adjust it

                      Can get the proper jobbies from any little accessory shop. Mine are Cosmic ones and look great.

                        The alternator i have at the moment is a pretty beefy however i suspect that its on the way out. anyone got any recomended items that would power these 4x 130W bulbs?

                        My farther used to run a Rover SD1 alty on his mk1, anyone still do this?

                          Used to run a Rover V8 one as well. Used to do the job perfectly. No need now as mine arn't wired up.

                            frosty, you bloody con artist.......all show and no go...... :bom: mine are wired up to two switches inside as had them cut into main lights but alti went on strike and fuse box came out in simpathy
                            i prefer supers on the top and normals on bottom..... just my choice tho
