RSOC National Day & Rally Sport Escorts

Hi all I'm posting here to gauge interest in organising a dedicated Rallye Sport Escorts group stand at the RS Owners Club National Day on Sunday 27th August at Donington Park.


Dave O'Neil has kindly agreed to let the RSOC put a post on here to try and gain interest. The Heritage of the RS brand is important to the RSOC and as you may have seen, we have recently brought back the old skool RS logos dating back from the Mk1 & Mk2 Escorts.


Without the original RS old skool escorts then the club wouldn't be where it is now, it would be great if we can see you guys at the show.
We've created a offer this year for all Ford RS's where each RS car on display will receive a voucher worth £5 to spend on the day. In effect it's free entry for your car. Advance tickets are £12.50 for club members and £15 for non members.

Problem is we would then have to give that to all visiting car clubs.

It was with much surprise when The RSOC approached me on Wednesday to offer a Visiting Stand at National Day.

In all the years RSE has been around I have never once contemplated an RSE Stand at ND and have always prefered that you all supported your local group, get on track, concours or go on your respective Registrars Stand.

This offer now gives the option for ANY MKI or MKII Escort to be part of a stand at ND and not have to park in public car park or attend ND in their daily smoker.

Next year should we get a similar offer then with a bit more notice many may wish to attend

Hope you are well, I am not aware of the club not allowing this? Something I am more than happy to put to the club for next year, as Dave mentions below it is short notice so ideally it will be better next year which some more planning involved.

It was my idea to try and get more visiting car clubs to ND and I more than happy to try this out so I or we will be looking at planning things in advanced for next year.

The rs owners club hasn't even recognised nor acknowledged this site, seriesoneturbo.co.uk or escortcosworth.com all year to the point where if you post anything regarding those sites on the Rsoc site your post gets removed or you get banned, yet two weeks before national day there's an invite with discounts to attend

Some of the committee should have listened to their members instead of ignorning their opinions...
