The 2000 sounds the better car if it really is that mint . The Mex obviously I prefer but at the end of the day it's up to you.

na this has nothing to do with paul.just seen the mex and it seems to be a genuine car.sills and floor pans are all ok .back arches just starting to crinkle .the sign of rust i think from inner arch not sure.passenger top rs plate is starting to lift in 1 corner so it wants taking of and rot cutting out then welding and replacing.seats all need recovering big time but frames are ok and not snapted .runs and drives ok.still think i need to see the black 1 thou

Jay m8, look at it this way, weither you chose
the rs2 our the Mex both seem to be good cars so
you are in a no louse situation, In my opinion
the mex is the one (not being biased) to go for and after all in
time you can do those mods what ever they maybe and have
the pride in knowing that you did it yourself, good luck weather our which with what you buy. :thumbleft:

                  cheers James

                    mex all the way

this post has helped me a bit jay,i have got a red mk2 mexico to look at this weekend ,if i'm lucky,it was mine ,but i sold it a few years ago,now its had all the work done and been painted,it needs fitting up,but i was not sure what sort of price it would be worth.i think the mex is a better and rarer car ,don't be to swayed by engine mods,as soon tony blair will be spying on us anyway, and 30 mph will be all you can do :cyclops:
what i need is a high horse like the others have !

well if i had enough dosh i buy the lot to sell on and keep 1 .loads of people pm ing me about if i dont buy the others bla bla.i only want 1 as ive only got £3000 .the clean er cars still need work so i might as well buy something that still needs the work but not so good BUT A LOT CHEAPER DOSH.i know what people are saying about buying a car and get the bits later but my selfemployment work lately is s--t so cash is a big issue at the moment and maybe long term.think i might buy the red rs2000 .needs work but still has mot but has great 2.1 engine ,carbs ,4 owners etc etc and NO BLOODY SUNROOF.

Drifting off topic now but..... am I the only one who thinks that the Harrier in the pic has got rear wheel steering? The spacing of the rear wheel in the arch looks really weird, doesn't it?
