BJ, I took those photos of UFS and HRS.
UFS taken at Hopetoun House about 89
HRS at Holker Hall, probably same year ?
Think I ended up with the interior out of HRS, bought it from Loch Lomond ? then sold it to Mr Hoarder, sure he still has it stashed somewhere.sigpic

During the late 60 and 70's I was in the motor trade and I had the opportunity to drive plenty of different makes of cars which has left me with very fond memories. They were all different in their own way, some were not as good as others but most were still interesting to drive. If I was in your position and could not afford an Escort anymore then I would consider an alternative Ford model or even another make! The Escort market has gone crazy most likely due to it's very fortunate history in rallying, but there are equally if not better cars out there in there own right, so maybe it's worth giving another model of car a chance! In the past apart from Escorts, I have owned an Imp, HB Viva SL90, my dad has also owned a Mk2 Jag, Mk1 Capri 1300L, Mk3 Cortinas GXL and 2000E and I would love to have any of them back to drive once again! For me many cars out there would bring back the past for me and help me return to my youth, which is a good part of the fun! Have a look around and see what else you might fancy, drive them and see for yourself that there is life after Ford!
Best of luck with finding something that you can enjoy again, at the right price!
