Chinese Shell

I followed a thread on Facebook where 2 of the Chinese doors from same supplier were fitted to genuine shell. They apparently fitted well.
Saw another thread from the importer where they had fitted escort glass & rubbers to the window apertures.
Don't know anyone who's ordered a shell yet.

I personally think these shells are perfect for restoring a rust bucket and if you want to go one step further and fit the RS bits thats all well and good
Hence the original question has any one done it yetsigpic

Rules are clear enough - you can re-shell a car legally with a new shell, doesn't have to be an original Ford part.
You can legally transfer the ID if at least 2 major components are retained. These can be engine, gearbox, axle & even the steering counts as a major component.
Might not suit everyone's opinion but them's the rules.

Its when people buy an RS log book and try to pass a car off as something its not that is naughty
People would be supprised how many RS Pops are out there
Any one who buys a used shell with no ID has to ask where it has come from
Oh and adding the RS strengthening bits was with refrence to the rally boyssigpic
Back with a MK1
