Fraz - i am sure it will be well worth the wait..that first drive to a show will be such a buzz when it happens

My plans will be to do as much resto work on the mex as possible...but without going too daft on it, as it is going to be well driven.

Worthers, ive been told is now going into the bodyshop on the 10th...........i hope, will be gone 10-12 weeks, engine and gearbox will be complete by then, all the new "hardware" would have been bought by then, as with ongoing purchases from good old Ebay, Fords, and you guys, it is all coming together, so i keep convincing myself !! time and patience is whats required, thats my winter taken care of

I'm going to change the cylinder head on mine, new cam, new stem seals etc. I may go as far as re-working the bottom end as well. General clean up in the engine bay and some work on the front seats. I've collected lots of sections of mint brown beta now and I plan to have the front seats re-covered. Going to try and break the habit of spending sh!t loads over this winter so that I've got enough spare next winter to strip the car for a complete inside and out spray job.

and maybe rear disc conversion

Ive just got the diff to change and new rear wheel bearings and general tidy up.

And still adding various shiny new clips/fittings under the bonnet..

i want to have the rear axle and suspension powder coated ( although i am loosing interest in this one )
fit GAZ rear shocks
lift car 1" front and back as it is too low for me, not practicle

looking at fitting rear disc conversion to mine, have been buying all the bits one by one every few weeks so the misses doesnt notice the cost , just the bolt on axel brackets and the proportioning valve to buy .
Also looking at getting the 7"s referbed, badly maked with chips and ingrained brake dust.

Both the escorts are not needing work so I may pull out the old 1960 Alpine that needs finishing and get into that. Needs a wee bit of welding, full paint job, renew running gear and fit a pinto!!..got to have a ford bit in it....unless someone has a ford V8 I can slot in????
