Don't know why people get so aggrieved about cars getting stolen, that's what you pay insurance for and with agreed value done by one of the clubs who over egg the value you will come out on top.

With £75k you can go and spend £30k on a nice Escort and bank £45k ....simples

There are far far worse things can happen to you in this life than having a piece of metal stolen.

      As for the RS1800 .......

      I'll get me coat
It didn't say he'd paid £75 big ones for it though A Twin Cam in the garage over the past ten years has probably earned 25%pa, not a bad return! better than a regular ISA !!

My guess is most owners of Twin Cams owned them before they went through the roof. But, would they now pay £75k for one now ? Probably not !!

Have no doubt that for some of us these cars are not just a piece of metal. As mentioned, some have had them for a long time, meaning that our life history has been connected to them. Many of our young wild happy days might have been spent driving it, or our dear late mum and dad may have sat in it. Insurance companies paying out large sums of cash and buying a replacement can never replace that piece of history, and when you have some a*se decide that you cannot have your car anymore and takes it all away from under your nose, is it any wonder why we get so upset about it?

My car isn't the best or most valuable by a long way but we built it from scratch and although i would get a few quid, should the worst happen, id much sooner have mine than the insurance money and a chance to replace it with a higher spec or more valuable car.
Please please please can I be in the 'Clique'

Anyone got a contact number for the owner? There was a possible sighting of this yesterday

              tracker.

Easy way is just fit a tracker...95% chance of getting it back.

Would also stop any dodgy claims

I do hope the twincam gets found.

What about the best of both,
Pretend it’s stolen but it’s round your mates,
                collect the insurance money,
get a new logbook for you old car or sell the bits.

Didn’t we see this with an RS2000 last year?

I wonder how long the TC/1800 owners had their cars
and were they up for sale when they were stolen?

Possibly two separate sightings of this car have been reported to me:

One person has approached me saying they'd seen it driving past their house in Hagley mid afternoon of Sunday 15th July 2014.

Someone also said they had possibly seen the car in Walsall yesterday (Friday 20th July 2014).

Dog Inn to Hagley is a direct road & are only 6 miles apart, Walsall is only around 17 miles on from Hagley

Anyone see anything in these areas on the days mentioned or know of any other white mk1s in the areas they could be?

AVO national day was on the 15th June.
How close is Hatton to Hagley ? Could this be a coincidence?
