Big mistake in a letter about Brian Hart and the BDA in the new issue of CLASSIC & SPORTSCAR. The letter writer seems to think that it was Stuart Turner who 'tripped over' a BDA engine in Hart's workshop, thus starting a link which went on for years. In fact, the 'tripping up' event took place years later, when Peter Ashcroft visited Hart's workshops, to encounter the very first alloy-blocked BDA.
It was I, in fact, who first introduced Turner to Cosworth's Duckworth, at my home in 1969, when the prototype BDA engine was first discussed.
