I would think with the help of there clever accountants the tax they pay will be the minimum
What about the bungs they take to fix a game ,, tax free of course
How is it ethical these plebs get such huge sums when our own people are refused a living wage in a lot of cases
And regarding the comment if they have an injury the career is over then let them look for a proper job like everone else has to
Mr Frosts last comment sums it all upsigpic

If you dont like it dont watch it. No point whinging over what footballers earn just because you dont. They earn it honestly, unlike a lot of rich people. Good luck to them.
And as said, it is Luis Suarez at Liverpool you are on about. Not at Scum Utd

Alan are you a football fan? Pay your 600 a year for a season ticket plus fuel etc on top?? Or are you just on an already warn out soap box?
I am and have been fortunate to have followed my favourite club all over, 200k a week is well worth it to watch him!!sigpic

200k a week ??? Come on ...at very best they do a few hours a day ...how on earth do they earn that.
They really don't give up much do they ...some people work really hard in a dangerous profession for a lot less.
Just think how much your season ticket would come down if they got an average wage. The game of football would not suffer, and your enjoyment would still be the same.

Top Barristers, Politicians, CEO's of companies are all on big money but don't put their lives on the line so should we demand that they take massive pay cuts
Supply and demand, there are very few players on over £100k a week, I am good friends with an ex Premiership player now playing in the Championship who was very close to getting an England call up and he was on £12,000 a week which I know is a lot of money but not the crazy sums of the few.
Also remember that their career in most cases is 10-12 years and most professionals earn less than £1000 a week in that time.Cheers

Even if the majority of the players in the EPL were on 100+ K a week contracts, so what?! Obviously the Premier League PLC has managed to market a highly desirable product around the world; whether you like it or not. Money always ruins the "sport", and the more money involved, the more damage is done, but in terms of the "product" it is a far better spectacle than it was 25-30 years ago.
The wages are just a reflection of the vast sums being made by Sky and the EPL, naturally those that are involved in making it a "spectacle" want their share.
If you don't like it don't "buy it"...

How ever the football is funded, do they honestly earn the money they claim to.
Our national team is a disgrace, considering we have the best league in the world. You would think we would be the envy of the rest, but we are not,
