The ultimate Escort for me was seeing the Bailey RS2000 going round the track at Donington in the early 90s at the RSOC national day, Got to be one of the first MK2s fitted with a 500BHP Cosworth YB Engine…. unbelievably quick to see on the track. I had an RS2000 BFD 520T at the time….is it still about?? Will have to dig out some of the old photos.
VLE for me as well, such an iconic car of its time.
Does anyone know if VLE used to reside in the car museum that used to be a Syon Park (not a million miles away from its birth place)? Im sure it did but thought someone would know for sure
It's a difficult question, for me it has to be a 1800. I always had the delema would it be a fully restored concourse car or a high spec road car?
I am a very lukey person as I have two 1800 concourse and fast road car and on different days you will get a different answer but always will start with RS1800
