The ultimate escort?

Not sure what an ultimate escort would be, at this time I'd say it's something that is ...as it came out the showroom, no changes no modification, and seeing that the escort was developed as a mass produced car, in which nearly every one had one in the 70s ...finding a true proper survivor ...would be the ultimate.

That takes out every modified and restored car, rally cars ...I doubt if any of them have the original body panels, or engine parts. Twinks RS Mex, etc are well served on the scene, so are not that rare.

Something bog standard, untouched, but in great condition would be the ultimate escort.

There's a mk2 rs2000 here in Perth that fits all those criteria

Ari's black mk2 works Escort looks wank with it's shonky wheelbase and wider axle set up . The rear arches look like dog poo and without a doubt the worst looking package after a zakspeed . Plus any "ultimate" Escort can't have a BD engine as then they aren't the ultimate by a long way , lol .
The ultimate Escort rally car would be one of the new versions with millington power , tractive gearbox , etc but on 13 inch wheels not 15's .
They cost over a 100 grand though so watch out for the trees !!!

Alan will never live down the hammerite floor. I must admit to painting the floor of my Tartan Red MGB roadster with red hammerite when I got it, covered in surface rust inside and ten years later when I sold it to buy the RS, twas good as new. Guilty as charged, must be a local thing, I only live 4 miles from Alan.
