I wonder if the number is increasing?
Well according to "howmanyleft" which apparently takes data from DVLA, in 1994 there were 590 Escort RS Customs , this is when the info first starts and will include all known RS Customs registered as no SORN differentiation at this point.

Jump forward to first quarter of 2013, the most recent data, and there are 120 taxed and 481 SORN'd, so yes, there are more RS Customs now than there were in 1994

Statistics for FORD ESCORT RS CUSTOM.. See how many cars of any make and model are left on Britain's roads.

    Market Forces

I have also noticed that sellers are being more realistic with prices for their cars to shift their classics quicker. Certainly 70's and 80's cars have dropped slightly, there is also a large amount available even if some are in poor condition.

Ebay adverts seem to roll around with the same 100 escort classics on sale for months and months. I think that if you are in your 40's and 50's, (who grew up seeing these cars littering your streets as day to day cars) you have either got the classic car of choice, just like looking at them or have had one or two and not that fussed enough to cough up the large wodd until the right vehicle turns up.

These cars at 8k to ....................80k are still a luxury hobbie for most people! It took me two years to find one I could afford, and thats been in the middle of this economic down turn, double dip thingy.

Sold it and spent it son, 25 cars later and 10 motorbikes I'm still skint but still here and that's what counts.
