Seriously, make sure you look at the difference between auto and manual in the same model. My old Disco 2 manual was cheaper (by some margin!) than the same car as a auto. The Auto just broke into the next level.

For that budget....Freelander 2 all the way. Sorry boy's, good as some of thenew stuff is, the rest are still catching up on 55 years of progress!!

(Though youd struggle to find any series 1 parts on a freelander me thinks)
