i have had 2 plates liseted that i requested bought one other did a fortune but sorry to say this alan you was ripped of by the reg number company not DVLA as you could of bidded on line or via the telephone for free via DVLA

I enquired to DVLA about an unissued number, I thought SOF45T would be a bit of a wheeze, and asked if I could buy it. They said it would have to be auctioned and informed me of the sale date! I couldn't be RS'd to bid on it.
I am sure you could keep doing similar things Alan, now you know you don't have to pay for it, there are loads of great Escort numbers to have with slight differences, you are bound to win one someday.
