Having done a bit of research i do fancy the idea of a focus rs.I take on board the comments about the ride etc but this is going to be a weekend plaything and this really won't matter to me.I don't want something that is too refined as that can equal boring unless you are using it as your daily and i will just end up selling it after a week.So if anybody knows of anything please let me know and thanks for all the feedback.

Drove one when they first came out & loved it. Was looking at getting one last year when YUE died. It's the thought of losing 10k on one in the next 5-7 years that put me off. I did like the thought of a "Get in & drive" car though which would need for nothing. Ah well, Bought the MK1 instead. At least this wont lose money but as for a "Get in & drive" car.........it certainly isn't

Salisbury plain buddy, So I guess you can say one up from farm tracks, the roads are quite harsh around here and so is the car, but that was to be expected with the badge on the boot

Sound a bit like the roads that we have here in South Yorks
Oh I know what you're saying about buying a RS & expecting it to ride like a standard car
It's a bit like the current fast Audi's they have a 'harsh' ride as well.
You just have to be a little bit smoother with your inputs And hold on tight lol

Had mine from new and is a toy/weekend car.

Harsh ride? No harser than my wife's Mini Cooper S on run flats.

Granted not the fastest thing out there and there are nicer more well built cabins to sit in.

However you cannot beat the way they make you feel, the sound of the 5 pot and the looks and attention you get in them, especially in the best colour

One pic with a certain Mr. Gaz D's old car.

                      Another nice one...

Side draught Webers... what cars were made for.

                      Even Nova's

As an everyday car then maybe.

I would rather have the RS and not sacrafice performance or real car appeal...
