Trying to make sense of this post.
I have recently bought a mk2 and by sending in pics to cherished vehicle insurance we have agreed a value of the car !!
So if the worst was to happen I would get that amount payed to me right ????
Or do I need an independent valuer like oggie to back this up ???
Confused now and a little worried.

Who is the insurer? Make sure you read the small print as it could state that they may pay "Up To" the agreed value.Originally posted by stu-mk2 View PostTrying to make sense of this post.

A club valuation is worth it's weight in gold & will give you piece of mind. The club will also help you in the event of any claim also.

It doesn't mean you "have to" it is though, an excellent way of protecting your investment & a great way to get involved & make new friends.Originally posted by stu-mk2 View PostSo does this mean I have to join the rs owners club ??

the rs,avo or sporting escorts valuations do help in a total loss situation, however if you have an agreed value policy and its all agreed on the policy. then they have to pay out, its the law!!Originally posted by stu-mk2 View PostI got worried and called my insurance and they said if my car is a total loss I would be payed the full agreed value less my excess which is £100 so I can live with that.sigpic

Im with Lancasters insurance Stu, and they are the only ones so far that ive had my escort insured with who actually send you a valuation certificate stating the agreed valuation in the event of a total loss/theft which they agree to pay and which is valid for 3 years.Originally posted by stu-mk2 View PostI got worried and called my insurance and they said if my car is a total loss I would be payed the full agreed value less my excess which is £100 so I can live with that.
