Those look like Ghia seats having the single post headrest? RS seat like this?

Had a pair of mint chocolate base seats off ebay for £10, was the only one to bid.

Sorry to disagree with you but just about everything about that interior looks wrong! Compare the head rests between yours and the white base model photo - they are different. There is no pocket / clock cut into the dash, the door cards are wrong with incorrect (for the model) door pulls. I had a 78 on an 'S' plate back in 1981, that was NOT a Custom but had 'contoured sports seats' with double post plain headrest, doorcards with pattern parallel to floor and angled door pulls, inset dash pocket with clock and alloys! So there is either a discrepancy somewhere or there were 3 levels of trim - pauper, semi pauper and custom

Lets put this to rest once and for all on this board as its been covered more times than the logbook/reshell saga.

When the the mK2 RS2000 first came out in 76 it was the only RS2000 available, it was NOT a Custom or a base, it was an RS2000. These cars had basically the same trim as the later but yet unreleased Custom only were fitted with Scheele seats with small block headrests, clock and pod in the dash and white needle dash clocks.

August 1978 and the RS range is revised, the Mexico is dropped and the RS2000 becomes available in two models, Custom with recaros , full trim door cards, bronze glass, alloys etc and the 'base' spec RS2000 with the interior exactly as the photos above photos, plus steel wheels, body colour rear panel, pop+ carpets etc
