there are not so many 'real' ones left so people hang on to them.

I personnally prefer the mk2 rs2000 but am very lucky to have both

              two replicas ......

there are a few about but as said not many genuine ones left......there is one on ebay at the mo, signal amber, bought over here in ireland n now for sale over in uk, didnt sell here for a few reasons but someone is gonna be stung on it.....i didnt view said car but there was a discussion on another forum about it....
then theres the yellow one that was reshelled, but the owner tells you that....

when they come up for sale they sell fast....good mexico's are hard to find in both mk1/2 format.......id like to own one of each someday but my spec for a mk1 mexico is getting harder to find....white, red stripe, 1972, custom pack and unmolested..........just need a decent garage now

I think there,s only 100ish left according to dvla so not many to go around.
Funny how rsoc and classic price guides still undervalue them compared to mk2 rs 2000's.

Thats right Geoff..In one of the classic monthlies they rate a mk2 mexico as the same value as a 1600 sport.
