But not too many courses in a day as the compo has to have time to set !

Ive got my NVQ3 in panel beating did it for 12 years,got my weld tests on thursday.Also got senior ATA in met,also a load of crap.Was every 5 year when i did it now they have moved it to 3!
Stupid,if your doing the job everyday you get better at it not worse!!!

Think a lot of this stuff is EU related .I have to do a Check Test every 4 years and i am one of only 2% of the top grade Driving Instructors in the UK .I also have to do a annual HGV Medical every year now too .But I agree with that as You need to be medically fit to be in charge of a HGV these days .Buy money extorted at every opportunity.

When i went to college to learn panel beating (1999-2001) i left with an NVQ level 3 which was the lifetime quaification,but now the motor industry has decided that it only lasts 3 years?!
So now i have to spend two days(monday/tuesday this week) at Training 2000 in blackburn to take the ATA senior panel course.WTF!
And this only last three years,and it cost the buisness £1500 to boot

I'm a panel beater for BMW mate and when I did my ATA senior course it was for four days and cost company about £2500.. plus four days work lost and because i passed they had to give me a £1200 a year pay rise..LOL. but mine last's for 5 years as I did mine before April this year..

Just done a 2 day course on how to climb a ladder...,,,, strange thing there were no window cleaners on the course .

Its only a "refresher course" thats why is two days but i don't know why its a refresher as i never had an ATA before
I did the online test today, got 90% and just got a 6 hour practical tomorrow
The place i work for won't even give me a 50p pay rise lol
I don't even get paid for standing in as foreman

I dont get anymore for having ATA and have to go on all the Mercades coarses.So when it comes to renewal time in 2014(mine was 5 year)ill be having that discussion with the boss.Have to sign other peoples work off so surely should get paid more!!

I used to be foreman when I worked at Toyota in 2003 and run round like a chicken with no head for 3 months and didn't get anything for it so I told them I wasn't doing it any more.. so when I when to BMW in 2004 I though I'd act daft and get better thought of..LOL and it works let me tell you.. as for pay rise boss told me I've booked you on ATA course when you pass its an extra £100 a month for you so didn't even have to ask for it..but when I talk to some of other lads on courses I've been on not all BMW garages recognise it..
