  • Money in the bank modern fun classic ?

Thinking of selling some of my classic cars and parts off seeing as lock up rent is going through the roof and i never hardly get time too drive them .
I can't just keep the money after selling them or else wifey will spend it all on a Kitchen or i'll spend it all on my Escort !!!
May get 1x modern classic car instead as then i could have 1x garage instead of 4 and drive it 4 times a year instead of once each , lol .
Don't want too waste money on depreciation so thinking about something rare and desirable but it must be fast and go sideways or else i'll get bored .
Thinking off a E46 M3 CSL as they are around 10 years old nearly so prices have already dropped off . Should hold value as only a few about and like an RS1800 of the BMW world if you get my drift . Plus the induction roar sounds the nuts .
Anyone got one ? What's it like too drive etc ? What special parts does it have apart from carbon airbox , carbon roof , cardboard boot floor , nicer wheels ? cheers .

Yep thought about those as well but i want something that will go up in price as well if possible (like classics do) . Look at RS500 3 door prices now compared to 5 years ago !!!!

Also i like those Supercharged Shelby Mustang remakes but they look like a Transit van inside and prices are still falling a fair bit . Anyone been in or got one of those ?

Funny this was on Piston heads the other day http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=52&i=25931

I wonder how much the M3 and in CSL format have to drop..I can't help but think they will go through the old car syndrome. If I was to put my own money in a BMW it would be a E28 M5 or E30 M3..

Anything with a Cosworth badge on seems to be going up as you said about RS500...!

993 Porsches ? The Turbo are still commanding mega money (45-50K) but I think your money would be safe there..

What about the 190 merc cosworths???... Rear wheel drive, cosworth badge, quite rare, good German build quality, you can still get new genuine parts from the dealers,I don't think they are expensive on parts, future classic???..or am I talking out of my arse!!!..

Yep 22B is a good bet but 4wd puts me off a bit . Already got a 911 so don't want another (except gt3rs but too expensive still) and already got an E28 alpina so i will be selling those off as both need resto work and the lock up rent is too high now .
The problem with resto work is it takes foooookin years and i can't be arsed too wait around anymore especially as i only drive them a few times a year .
Easier too sell them and buy somthing that hasn't rusted yet , lol .

Quite cool i suppose but way too slow these days and bound to be rotten as pretty old . I quite like the newer E55 AMG's etc but 100's for sale every week so bound to be worth foook all later on .
