What a find. Love rs1800's since I was bout 16. I'm now 37 to some its a basic escort with stripes not to most of us
Anyway me personally wouldn't be bothered bout the re shell bit an escort is an escort nuf said love far top much to stigmatise such cars to me if they've been done right and looked after who cares. I've a mk1 frs which ford originally used St170 shells no one cares cos its just a plastic focus but in twenty years it will all change but its still an rs and there still really good cars so to all the fussy folk and not causing offence to any one

I never considered starting from a new mint shell and have a very nice shell which would have been totally mint in every way when Neil was done with it, but now starting at with this point puts it on another level. I still have not worked out with Neil the way to go but one thing for certain she will be one hell of a car when she is done
Is the old shell that bad then?
I know an NOS shell will be immaculate but isn't the exclusivity of the model also to do with the fact that only just over a hundred were ever built and privately registered?
I would have thought the original shell would be a pre-requisite.
Well done though, a brand new shell, fantastic
Get some photies up of that shell, it'd great to see it. You could do a Ruddy thread, i.e. the TR7 one
I remember these trimmed shells being for sale on the front page of the classified ads in the Motoring News.
Ok, So what else do we suggest he does with this shell then?....sounds like a great idea to me and would make a lovely 18! After the reshell then there's a spare shell for something else then!
