That was bloody lenient! 110 mph in a 30 limit that's f*****g ludicrous, not a bad idea though, avoid the coppers and end up killing someone, what a nutcase To be honest, I'm surprised the bloke didn't get 18 months in Parkhurst, let alone just an 18 month ban, bloody hell!!!!
Where do you start? The bloke thought he was ****ed and then, to cover it up, tried to race the fuzz when half-cut
No offence to you (or your mate) but it sounds like 18 months without him on the road was a good thing

You really do want locking away for that to be fair. You might just as well walk around pointing a loaded gun at people if you're going to drive at speeds like that in built-up areas, sooner or later it has the same effect.

I hate to be so boring but 100 mph above the speed limit in a thirty limit – and that's just what he was "clocked at" – FFS

That was my point. Theoretically he could have just said fair cop and hoped for the best. However, by doing what he did he could have had a serious accident or killed somebody and for what? For nothing.

My local traffic fuzz thought they were going to catch people out where I was living at the time (20 years ago). What did the cheeky gits do? They tried it on with entrapment. Namely by pulling out of a side road and driving right on my rear bumper, i.e. headlights planted in the back of my head (but not giving away that it was the police of course. What did I do, suspecting the worst? I did 65 mph to put some distance between me and them, i.e. without going mental. They followed me for about a mile and put the lights on. They said I was going too fast but my answer was that my speedo cable was broke (which it had done 3 days previously) to which they could only say "can't you read off the rev counter how fast you're going?"
I hadn't had a drink or got into a race with them so they could do anything, but don't take flight, as you aren't going to get away with it, especially not these days

I got caught doing 100.3 at shap fell at 8 oclock on a sunday morning , with no other traffic on that stretch. Court , 250 fine ,400 solicitor (who did nothing but read word for word the notes i prepared) 6 points after some serious pleading, self employed etc plus was on my way to pick up the inlaws who had rolled their car in scotland. Her mum was in bits, just wanted to get home. Think this lads deffo heading for a ban though. We've nearly all done it at some time, just bad luck when you get caught......Over hundred in a built up 30 is mad though !

I would say 6points and a long ban. Above 100mph is instant ban + 6 points by law.
I got caught at average 103.44 mph in 2009 and got away with 3 points!! Couldn't believe my luck as they was in an undercover car and I was trying to race them! They said I was lucky they clocked me when I was slowing down. Young and dumb in a fiesta!!

I suspect he is going to have to sell the Cooper S too. His premium after the prob ban is really going to sting!!

100 + Nice, keep it on the track/stage I say. We've all done it and most have not been caught but maybe to not that extreme (I never had a car that could go that fast at a early age. Mind you, it was a while ago!!)
