if so its not really my thing but have been there and it seems very popular.

It's at Santa Pod and it's called timed acceleration . Acceleration is very important for race cars , even rally cars need to accelerate . Most B.D.'s are shite slow normally so i was hoping too see a fast one but if you're scared then fair enough .

Ha Ha , that's a no then . Why do all the race car owners think that acceleration is boring ? Is it because they realise that their race cars are shite slow when the clock starts ticking and they don't like getting whoooped by a "comfy" street car that does 109mph in 12secs ? Unlucky .

How do the track cars get under the Nazi noise regs then ? Do they all have 3 exhaust boxes , airbox restrictors , etc etc or just stick too lower power levels ?

us comfy estate owners stick "too low power levels " as we can actually pilot our cars ,, up north we cut our teeth up on the moors , winding roads with big drops and even bigger cattle to hit if you get it wrong,, not just a staight road with stop and go lights,,,, its to easy racin a clock,, mix it up with a few cars on circuit and thats a bit more like it

Ok let's make a list for round 1 at Santa Pod at the classic Ford show . I expect all the trailer queen race car lot to shit out and hide (no change there then , lol) but hopefully the rest will give it a go as it's cheap and easy .
I promise to leave all my heavy bits on and race on a set of 175mm wide street tyres . I'll also just pull away normally at low revs on cold rubber (no burn out) so you lot can do burn outs and take your cars too bits if you like .
P.S. there's no noise regs so you can make as much racket as you like .
