Id have to say Oban aswel mate as i live there!

On a nice day it is totally stunning with lovely views. Good for mountain biking and good roads all around the area.
You could jump on a ferry to a number of Islands, Mull (45 min), Tiree ect ect with the bikes.
Great fishing nearby, swimming pool, nice seafood for a wee nite out with some dinner ect.
Quite a nice beach in Oban called Ganavan but there is a very good one just outside town called Tralee which also has wooden holliday challets.
                Hope this helps,

                Auld

I would have thought it would have the opposite effect

Looking into Oban Beware, "The Boy" may coma calling.
