The way I see it is we need a really good classic show to attend in each of the following, preferably with onsite camping facilities (which a lot of classic shows provide) or nearby hotels.

              Central Scotland
              North West
              North East
              Midlands
              South West
              South East

Now that might be an ideal but it may depend on the size/quality of the show and the availability of a pitch. Or do we give it a go next year with maybe just 2 or 3 shows to try the idea out ?

There is one other point to mention, I dont own an Escort

This is always a great show and there is camping

Difficult roads often lead to beautiful places

some one should sort a show out at some were like oulton park (somewere with a circuit),, theres loads of local campin/digs , the track is sweet as are the facilites, theres plenty of space for show cars/trade stands/ clubs and auto jumble, a bit of somthin for everyone, but not on a massive scale, thats when shows seem to nose dive , when they get to big or when theres loads of new show room shite on the stands

different to what ruddy is saying, but i believe a local group from the rsoc looked into oulton for a show and the costs are crippling

As Tim says, we are trying something away from circuits and trackdays, they are catered for throughout the year and a lot of lads on this site enjoy them.

We are proposing simple get togethers at pre-organised shows where we can have our own little area, crack, BBQ in a relaxed atmosphere. Maybe a couple of trophies for 'cars of the day', but nothing over complicated.

after the lakes the 'scene' nose dives for me, not into the rs scene anymore, and have been looking for something different to do with the cars..
the idea of trying some varied shows would appeal thats for sure, certainly with the camping idea the night before...

the cheshire group did price up oulton and at the time couldnt afford the initial deposit etc, as for the event its a gamble how many would turn up..

with the club how it currently is i dont think they ever will

I know it's local to me, but if you apply as a club at tatton early enough, they will allocate a space. Then you can run your own show n shine or BBQ and chill.

Dont think they charged for it either.

Dont always get the southern views though (as photo'd earlier)
