Its definately a Mex and from the outside after the changes in the wheels and trim thats what it will look like. The only giveaway will be the oil cooler being seen through the front grille.(only for the keen eyed spotters)
I can't begin to tell you how many problems I have had trying to get this engine to fit.
I had it in my head that I would not cut the bulkhead so the car could go back to a Pinto one day.
I also wanted a pre-engaged starter which sounds simple but I used a MK1 big wing sump, changed the ring gear, altered the sump, needed a short starter with the solenoid low down away from manifold. Power lead hit the crossmember, couldn't use the World Cup one as the way the engine has been mounted away from the bulkhead. Had to cut a standard cross member to fit the exhaust. The rest of the exhaust had to be specially bent to get it to fit
Running a Type 9 too so had to use the Capri input shaft to move the engine away from the bulkhead.
The problems I have had with other parts even the new oil pump has been on and off loads as an example. The engine has been in and out more times than I care to remember.
