for anyone who wants to know a Southhampton salute looks like this
Had tenants in our house in Nottingham for 5 years. Had the call from the letting agency today that they have done a runner They owe 3 months rent as well. Went over to the house this afternoon and the place stinks!!!! There is rubbish all over the place in both the gardens and side space. The garage door is broken. There is a HUGE Wasps nest in the Virginia Creeper up the side wall which scares me silly. The electricity has been cut off as has the gas. The whole house needs gutting and starting again really. Seriously not impressed!
Used to have a house on Dudley Road in Grantham and rented it out almost fully furnished, but the thieving tennants did a runner with all the furniture/unpaid bills etc, when we challenged the tennant agency they seemed to side with the tennant, cos in summary they knew they were at fault as we suspected they never completed inspections as we were living too far away and left the whole thing to them. To complete the disappointment the insurance company refused to pay out as the house was not broken into (even though at the time of taking the insurance we told them we were going to rent it out).
