Had tenants in our house in Nottingham for 5 years. Had the call from the letting agency today that they have done a runner They owe 3 months rent as well. Went over to the house this afternoon and the place stinks!!!! There is rubbish all over the place in both the gardens and side space. The garage door is broken. There is a HUGE Wasps nest in the Virginia Creeper up the side wall which scares me silly. The electricity has been cut off as has the gas. The whole house needs gutting and starting again really. Seriously not impressed!

not gonna take the pee, I am lucky my tennant is spot on even though we have put it up for sale again. Did you take a bond off em mate? If so at least ya got something to put towards the repairs.

I rented for a couple of years the letting agent visited without fail every 3 months, checked every room in the house. I missed one appointment as I was late finishing work and they charged me £45

Yes, We have the bond so that's something. We also have full management on the house by the agency so hopefully will be covered for the lost rent. All this couldn't have come at a worse time though for Family Frost

I had one tenant who left a load of rubbish and a 3 piece suite in one of my houses

I found out where they had moved to put it all in the back of a van and chucked it all over there new garden while they watched out of the window

I kept the one months deposit and sent them a bill for £150 for clearing the rubbish and to my amazment they paid it.
