The one I would have back in amongst the RS's would be my black with electric blue decals 1600 sport. All original family car from Hampshire / Wiltshire border no welding and was a stop gap after my Mex was pinched in the early 90's.

        Mark.
Left us stranded on the M1 as well

My 1st car was a 950cc XR2 lookalike and a rather rotten D plate ...bought for 30 bob and spent 300 on it with the kit and spraying it to make it a lookalikey, christ the insurance was mega for that aswell! ...lol done for a year before it rotted away

My 1st car was a pinto powered mk1 escort , rotten as foooooook in 1985 so not about now i bet . I had a few Mexico's after that and they were all rotten as well so spent all my money getting them welded up . I think they only last about 8 years of daily use before needing a total resto .
sigpic 2.1 ATMO YB POWER .
Tick tock goes the clock and the clock don't lie .

                  Just your style you freak

I would have mine back. MK2 1300 Sport JNP 888T in Signal Yellow. Was stolen from Nottingham though and found in Leamington Spa with a colour change to black.
Would also have my old MK1 RS2000 RUN 200N back as well.

I did exactly that 18 months or so ago. Originally bought it in 1987 when I was 17 and still on 'L' plates ! My Dad lent me the £1200 to buy it and the £468 to insure it !! I sold it in 1995 after a little 'stress' (my first wife and proper girlfriend did the dirty on me and the car reminded me of her) I bought it back from the same lad in 2009 and immediately all the (good) memories came flooding back. The first drive in 14 years in mine from Somerset where I used to live back up to Brighton was pretty emotional - REALLY!! You'll no doubt be amazed how the smell of the car and the fun you had in it come back to you like you never sold it
'73 Mex. Bought in '87. Sold in '95. Bought it back again in '09
